New Zealand is set to play its first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 against Pakistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. The Blackcaps are coming into the game after two consecutive defeats in practice matches. They lost to England by 13 runs in their last-hot match against Australia before losing by 3 wickets.
Ahead of the first match against Pakistan, here’s a look at New Zealand’s probable playing XI.
Martin Guptill played a brilliant inning in the last warm-up match against England on the second day. In 20*, he scored 41 runs at a strike rate of 205 including 4 fours and 3 sixes. In the first warm-up match against Australia, he scored 30 runs in 20 balls. He seems to be in great form and it will be interesting to see how he opens his campaign against a strong Pakistan bowling unit.
