The trailer of KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj recently dropped. KGF 2 revolves around Yash’s war of words between Rocky and Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt. The project has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda.
When Yash’s business/crime lord gets threatened once again, the trumpeters of war are sounding. After Garuda’s death, Adheera (Sanjay Dutt, who aired both Vikings and Game of Thrones) returns to his mines. However, Yash is in no mood to accept anything. The boy who once promised all the world’s wealth to his mother will fight till his last breath to claim what is his own. A war breaks out that seems to be fought on land, air and water. The visuals in the trailer of KGF 2 are impressive, with a focus on violence and spectacle. Raveena Tandon’s political leaders seem to be a big player in this fight as she promises to end it for sure. Who will win in this fight till the end?
In KGF 1, which was released in 2018, we saw how Yash’s Rocky realizes that becoming rich is directly linked to the power that one possesses. Born into poverty, his quest for money, muscle power and politics as a way of amassing power, leads him to the gold mines of Kolar. He conquers the land by killing the tyrant who enslaved hundreds of people.
Shot in Kannada on a budget of 80 crores, it was the most expensive Kannada film at the time of its release. The first film is narrated by Anant Nag. KGF 1 was a resounding success in South India and the Hindi belt. The makers are expecting the sequel to be a lot , as the first part ended on a cliff-hanger.
KGF: Chapter 2 will release on April 14 in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
