Ananya Panday in cancelling culture: It’s like a cycle, every day there is a boycott

The Bollywood boycott or ‘cultural boycott’ is over. Be it actors or their films, the trend of boycotting or cancelling them is growing on social media. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha is facing the same problem. Meanwhile, Ananya Panda, who is currently promoting her film ‘Liger’ with Vijay Deverakonda, opened up about the cancellation culture. The actress said that every day something is boycotted or everything is cancelled.

Speaking to India Today, the actress said, “I think it’s like a cycle. Every day something is boycotted or everything is cancelled. We lose track. I even ask others if it’s okay if I’m boycotted. I learn something new every day. And now I understand. You have to learn to filter things. You have to know what to look for seriously. I don’t take them seriously,” he said.
Ananya also pointed to the North-South debate and said she did not see any difference between the two cultures.
Meanwhile, Liger is a pan-Hindi film directed by Puri Jagannadh and Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda will share the screen for the first time. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film now the promotion is going on. Vijay and Ananya are travelling in different cities to meet fans to promote their film.

Liger will also be the first Hindi film where boxing legend Mike Tyson will appear on camera. In the film, Deverakonda will play the role of an MMA fighter.

In association with Puri, Liger was co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Liger will hit theatres on August 25 this year in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
